Job Title: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
Job Summary: The behavior technician plays a crucial role in providing support and assistance to individuals who require behavior intervention services. Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), they implement behavior intervention plans designed to improve the lives of clients with behavioral challenges. This role involves direct, one-on-one interaction with clients, focusing on increasing desired behaviors and reducing problematic behaviors through structured interventions. This role primarily takes place at the in-home setting, occasionally in the daycare and preschool settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Implementation of Behavior Plans: Implement behavior intervention plans developed by the BCBA to address specific behavioral goals of clients.
Data Collection and Analysis: Accurately record data on client behavior during sessions to track progress and outcomes of interventions.
Behavioral Support: Provide direct support to clients during scheduled sessions, utilizing positive reinforcement and other approved behavior modification techniques.
Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the BCBA to ensure consistency in the implementation of behavior plans and discuss client progress.
Documentation: Maintain thorough and organized documentation of client progress, behavior incidents, and any changes in behavior plans.
Training and Education: Attend various paid company trainings related to professional development.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
CPR/BLS Certification: Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
40-hour RBT Training: This is the first step to completing the RBT Certification, and is an onboarding requirement at minimum if the RBT is not yet completed.
RBT Certification: Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is preferred or the willingness to obtain certification within a specified timeframe.

Working Conditions: This role typically takes place working in clients' homes. At times, but rarely, we do work in daycares and preschool settings.
