Oglebay Institute is a vibrant cultural organization committed to enriching lives through arts, nature, and education. We are seeking a part-time Curator of Exhibitions for the Stifel Fine Arts Center.
Director of the Stifel Fine Arts/Visual Arts
Generally, works 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, subject to possible weekend and evening work.
Under minimal supervision, coordinates and administers the exhibition season and related programming at the Stifel Fine Arts Center and the Gallery at Towngate. Develops, organizes, and presents public programs including classes and workshops related to each exhibition.
The position involves light physical activity associated with non‑strenuous administrative tasks, with extended periods of sitting for computer work and occasional movement required for travel arrangements or event support. Work is primarily performed indoors in well‑lit, climate‑controlled exhibition halls, offices, and storage areas, with periods of increased activity during event preparation.
Must have a bachelor's degree, preferably in fine arts, arts administration, arts management, or a related field. Must have prior experience working in the arts industry. Experience in administrative roles within the arts is preferred.
