Job summary

Open Eyes Vision Center seeks a reliable Medical Assistant to join our clinics in Frisco, McKinney, and Garland. This role blends patient care with administrative support to ensure smooth clinic operations and an excellent patient experience. Saturdays are required.

The position is part-time, averaging 8–32 hours per week, with opportunities for growth and training. You will greet patients, schedule appointments, and help maintain a welcoming clinic environment while supporting eye care services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Prior medical/optometry office experience preferred but not required (training provided).
• Excellent customer service, multitasking, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and sanitize equipment.
• Escort patients, record medical history, and perform basic pre-tests (auto-refraction, tonometry, visual acuity).
• Educate patients on eye health and contact lens care.
• Monitor and restock clinical supplies.

Responsibilities

Clinical Duties

• Prepare exam rooms and sanitize equipment


• Escort patients, record medical history, and perform basic pre-tests (auto-refraction, tonometry, visual acuity)


• Educate patients on eye health and contact lens care


• Monitor and restock clinical supplies

Administrative Duties

• Greet and assist patients at check-in


• Schedule appointments


• Keep clinic and reception areas clean and welcoming

Qualifications
