Job summary

Oetiker Group in New York is hiring for a 2nd shift machine operator. You will operate and maintain multiple machines, wash systems, and inspect parts per production schedules, ensuring quality and accurate documentation. The role emphasizes safety, housekeeping, and collaboration with supervisors to resolve issues.

Requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of light manufacturing experience. Shift hours are 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with competitive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Operates and/or maintains multiple machines according to all job and safety procedures.
• Operates all wash systems in the plant.
• Wash assigned parts in parts washer according to production schedule.
• Insures parts are cleaned and not damaged as required (visual inspection).
• Reports discrepancies to the Supervisor.
• Move inspected/washed parts to appropriate stock locations.
• Package parts for shipping according to specific instructions.
• Stamp 'washed' on one label.
• Complete proper documentation at all levels of job such as shipping labels.
• Maintain general housekeeping tasks, including shared duty of emptying trash containers throughout the plant.
• Performs other tasks as required by the Supervisor.

Job Description

Salary Range: $38,000 - $42,000

Position Summary

Operates and/or maintains multiple machines according to all job and safety procedures

• Operates all wash systems in the plant
• Wash assigned parts in parts washer according to production schedule

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic math skills, basic computer skills and excellent attention to detail

Education / Experience

High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of 1 years' light manufacturing experience required

Additional Information

This is a 2nd shift position. Regular hours are 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm (Monday to Friday)
