Job description

Job Description: The Parts Warehouse Delivery Driver is responsible for supporting warehouse and distribution operations through the safe, timely, and accurate movement of parts, materials, and products between warehouse and customer locations. This role helps ensure inventory availability, efficient order fulfillment, and high levels of customer service by maintaining organized inventory and completing scheduled deliveries. The position contributes to operational efficiency by supporting receiving, stocking, shipping, and inventory control activities. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, safe work practices, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Duties:
  • Receives, verifies, and processes incoming shipments to ensure materials are accurate and properly documented.
  • Coordinates the movement of products between warehouse locations and delivery destinations to support business operations and customer requirements.
  • Picks, stages, loads, unloads, and delivers products in a safe and timely manner while maintaining product integrity.
  • Assists with inventory management activities, including cycle counts, stock replenishment, and inventory organization.
  • Maintains accurate records of deliveries, inventory transactions, and warehouse activities.
  • Ensures warehouse, storage, and delivery areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with safety requirements.
  • Operates material handling equipment and delivery vehicles in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against shipping documentation.
  • Pick, stage, package, and load products for delivery or shipment.
  • Transport parts, materials, and products between business locations and customer sites as assigned.
  • Unload deliveries and distribute materials to designated storage or work areas.
  • Identify and report damaged, missing, or non-conforming products.
  • Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and stock replenishment activities.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages or discrepancies to management.
  • Maintain delivery logs, inventory records, and other required documentation.
  • Perform routine inspections of delivery vehicles and material handling equipment.
  • Assist with general warehouse, facility, and grounds maintenance activities as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Requires a high school diploma, General Education Development (GED) certificate, or equivalent; 1+ years of experience in warehouse operations, delivery services, inventory control, or a related environment; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Preferred: Experience in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning parts distribution, warehouse operations, customer service, or material handling equipment operation.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and shipping/receiving practices.
  • Ability to safely operate delivery vehicles and material handling equipment.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic math skills for inventory and order verification.
Essential and Physical Functions:
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, stooping, and climbing throughout the workday.
  • Ability to operate delivery vehicles, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and complete delivery documents, inventory records, and shipping information.
  • Ability to maintain concentration and accuracy while performing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, team members, and management.
  • Ability to work safely around moving equipment, vehicle traffic, and warehouse operations.
Work Environment:

Perform all tasks on-site at warehouse, distribution, and delivery locations. Regular work performed indoors in warehouse environments and outdoors during deliveries. Exposure to seasonal weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, rain, and humidity. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, powered industrial equipment, and vehicle traffic. May be exposed to dust, fumes, and other warehouse-related environmental conditions. Frequent loading, unloading, and transportation of materials and products. Compliance with all applicable safety policies to maintain a safe working environment. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. This role is classified as a Safety Sensitive Position, requiring heightened awareness and adherence to all safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment.
