Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Parts Specialist to provide top-tier service to retail and installer customers while supporting store management. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, with a preference for knowledge of automotive parts.

You will greet customers, assist in choosing merchandise, process transactions, and handle returns and complaints per policy. This role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and excellent customer experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service.
• Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time.
• Familiar with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service.
• Fluency in Spanish is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Greet retail and installer customers in a friendly, courteous manner and assist them in selecting merchandise.
• Assist managers and installer service specialists for professional customers as needed.
• Process exchanges and returns for credit per company policies.
• Handle cash drawer, accept payments, and process credit card transactions.
• Answer store phone calls, look up parts and quote prices, and offer related items.
• Maintain and secure cash handling procedures and daily store tasks.
• Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner.
• Assist with planogram updates, stocking, and store housekeeping.
• Support daily operational tasks and inventory cycle counts as needed.
• Perform in-store services when permitted by state/local laws.
