Job summary

Messer Construction Co. is seeking a Parts Specialist to join our Cincinnati office’s Rental Division, responsible for the health of Messer's owned equipment.

You will manage parts inventory, sourcing, purchasing, and stocking to support the fleet. Apply with strong supplier relations, coordination with service technicians, and inventory controls to optimize stock levels and reduce obsolete parts while ensuring timely deliveries and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in procurement and inventory management construction, rental equipment distributor, or related field.
• Knowledge of construction equipment, supplies and materials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire parts inventory, including sourcing, purchasing and stocking of parts to support Messer's owned equipment fleet.
• Manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of quality parts at competitive prices.
• Coordinate with service technicians to meet operational needs.
• Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to optimize stock levels and reduce excess or obsolete parts.
• Negotiate pricing and develop sourcing agreements with suppliers to maximize cost efficiency and availability.
• Issue purchase orders and approve corresponding invoices.
• Develop and institute inventory metrics.
• Manage small tool repairs and warranty.
• Manage bulk systems - water barriers, temporary fencing, cones and rails.
