Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts in Alabama is seeking a Parts Specialist to deliver high levels of service to retail and installer customers and to assist store management with tasks. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply and will support a range of in-store services and sales activities.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, assisting with product selection, handling payments, and processing returns. Training and compliance with company programs are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service.
• Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time.

Responsibilities

• Follow and promote all company customer service programs.
• Greet retail/walk-in customers and assist with merchandise selection.
• Assist managers and installer service specialists for professional customers.
• Answer store calls, lookup parts, quote prices and offer related items.
• Handle cash drawer, payments and credit card transactions.
• Process exchanges/returns per policy and courtesy.
• Address and resolve customer complaints.
• Assist with image maker and planogram updates, stocking shelves, and freight receival.
• Perform daily operational tasks including stock counts and returns.
• Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training.
• Provide in-store services (e.g., wipers, batteries, diagnostics) where allowed by law.
