The Parts Specialist will provide all retail and installer customers with a high level of service. This position also supports store management in accomplishing assigned tasks.

Essential Job Functions

1. Follow and promote all company customer service programs, e.g., Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, Rock the Lot, etc.
2. Promptly greet retail/walk-in customers in a friendly, courteous manner and assist them in selecting merchandise.
3. Assist managers and/or installer service specialists in serving professional customers as needed.
4. Complete assigned company training relevant to the position.
5. Provide excellent service to customers calling the store by answering all calls according to company policy, accurately looking up parts and quoting prices, recommending related items, and offering the Low-Price Guarantee.
6. Accurately maintain and secure the cash drawer, accept cash and checks, make change, and process credit card transactions.
7. Process exchanges and returns in accordance with company policies and procedures.
8. Address and resolve customer complaints amicably.
9. Assist with daily image maker updates, freight receival, stocking shelves, cleaning, etc.
10. Perform operational tasks such as merchandise returns, stock adjustments, inventory counts, etc.
11. Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training.
12. Perform in-store services (where law permits), e.g., install wipers, test batteries, scan vehicle trouble codes, etc.
13. Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle to make deliveries, provided driving record meets eligibility requirements.
14. Other duties as assigned.

Skills/Education/Knowledge/Experience/Abilities

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Outstanding, friendly, professional customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask effectively handling customers on the phone and in-store simultaneously.

Desired Qualifications

• Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service.
• ASE certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish.
