Job summary

United Rentals in Plainfield, NJ is seeking a Parts Specialist to support the parts department and maintain inventory to meet customer and service needs.

You will purchase parts, process orders, advise management, and keep manuals and price lists up to date while delivering outstanding customer service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• 2+ years of retail exposure.
• Heavy equipment knowledge preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and tech tools.
• Strong customer service, teamwork, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Purchase parts from manufacturers and suppliers; acquire parts from other branches as-needed to maintain and replenish inventory.
• Process external and internal parts orders by completing invoices, updating inventory records, verifying customer credit and shipping parts as needed.
• Advise Management on parts activities, future trends and matters which affect the efficiency of the department regarding customer relations.
• Maintain current parts manuals, catalogs, literature and price lists for all equipment sold by the company.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
