Job description

Job Summary
Selling service parts, bulk fluids, attachments, and accessories. In addition, performs in-store customer service, overall organizational promotion, and stocking duties. Identifies and provides complete parts solutions for customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Knowledge of all parts in order to effectively help customers identify, order and receive necessary parts for repair of equipment offered for sale by the dealership.
2. Promotes and sells products and/or services to meet customer needs.
3. Supplies Service Technicians with parts as required.
4. Assists with preparing and maintaining merchandise displays.
5. Verifies receipting-in of shipments and assists with placing Orders in their proper inventory locations thus maintaining an accurate and complete inventory.
6. Assists in keeping parts department clean and orderly.
7. Follows up on shortages and issues by working directly with the Parts Manager.
8. Assists in maintaining all departmental tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working order.

Position Qualifications

1. Basic data entry/keyboard skills.
2. Basic parts and machinery knowledge.
3. Ability to use the John Deere Parts Catalog computer application.
4. Ability to work in a team environment.
5. High School diploma or GED equivalent.
6. Forklift license preferred.
7. Stand for long periods of time.
8. Walk, bend/stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level, grasping.
9. Majority of the job is completed during regular business hours, but some job duties may require flexible hours.
10. Ability to lift at least 75 lbs.
