The Parts Specialist will provide all retail and installer customers with a high level of service. This position will also support store management in the accomplishment of assigned tasks.

Essential Job Functions

1. Follow and promote all company customer service programs, such as Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, Rock the Lot, etc.
2. Promptly greet retail/walk-in customers in a friendly, courteous manner and assist them in selecting merchandise.
3. Assist managers and/or installer service specialists in serving professional customers as needed.
4. Complete assigned company training relevant to the position.
5. Provide excellent service to customers calling the store, answering all calls according to policy, accurately looking up parts and quoting prices, recommending related items, and offering the Low-Price Guarantee.
6. Accurately maintain and secure the cash drawer, accept payments, make change, and process credit card transactions.
7. Process exchanges and returns in a friendly manner, following company policies.
8. Address and resolve customer complaints amicably.
9. Assist with daily store operations such as freight receival, stocking, fronting, and cleaning.
10. Perform operational tasks like merchandise returns, stock adjustments, and inventory counts.
11. Operate store test equipment after training.
12. Perform in-store services for customers, such as installing wipers, testing batteries, scanning vehicle codes, etc., where legal.
13. Drive a delivery vehicle as needed, provided driving record meets requirements.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills/Education/Knowledge/Experience/Abilities

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Provide outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service.
• Handle multiple tasks simultaneously, including customer interactions in-store and on the phone.

Desired Qualifications

• Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, Weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service.
• ASE certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish.
