Job description

The Parts Specialist will provide all retail and installer customers with a high level of service. This position will also support store management in the accomplishment of assigned tasks.

Essential Job Functions

1. Follow and promote all company customer service programs, e.g., Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, Rock the Lot, etc.
2. Promptly greet retail/walk-in customers in a friendly, courteous manner and assist them in selecting merchandise.
3. Assist managers and/or installer service specialists in serving professional customers as needed.
4. Complete assigned company training relevant to the position.
5. Provide excellent service to customers calling the store by answering all calls per company policy, accurately looking up parts and quotes, recommending premium and related items, and promoting the Low-Price Guarantee.
6. Accurately maintain and secure the cash drawer, accept cash/checks, make change, and process credit card transactions.
7. Process exchanges and returns for credit in accordance with company policies.
8. Address and resolve customer complaints amicably.
9. Assist with daily tasks such as freight receival, stocking shelves, fronting, facing, and cleaning.
10. Perform operational tasks like merchandise returns, stock adjustments, and inventory counts.
11. Operate store test equipment after training and meeting company requirements.
12. Perform in-store services (where legal), e.g., installing wipers, testing batteries, scanning vehicle codes, replacing headlight capsules, etc.
13. Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle when needed, provided driving record meets eligibility.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills/Education/Knowledge/Experience/Abilities

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask efficiently handling in-store and phone customers simultaneously.

Desired Qualifications

• Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, Weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service.
• ASE certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish.
