Job summary

Cobalt Truck Equipment in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Parts Specialist to support warehouse and parts operations, including inventory control, order fulfillment, and customer parts identification. Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1+ year experience in parts/warehouse/automotive environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Keep warehouse organized and 5S compliant.
  • Safely operate forklifts and material-handling equipment.
  • Assist with shipping, receiving and logistics as needed.
  • Support continuous improvement in parts operations.

Summary:The Parts Specialist is responsible for supporting daily warehouse and parts operations through stocking, inventory control, order fulfillment, receiving assistance, and maintaining an organized warehouse environment. This position also provides commercial parts support by assisting customers with parts identification, order processing, and product recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

Parts Operations and Inventory Management

  • Assist technicians in identifying and sourcing correct parts.
  • Receive, stock, organize, and maintain inventory within the warehouse.
  • Track and follow up on open orders, backorders, and urgent requests.
  • Communicate order status, delays, and updates with internal teams.
  • Process returns and RMAs in a timely manner.
  • Pull, stage, and verify kits and parts for upcoming jobs.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report replenishment needs.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and transactions within inventory management systems.
  • Ensure warehouse organization and cleanliness in accordance with 5S standards.
  • Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, load, and stage parts.
  • Assist with shipping, receiving, and logistics coordination as needed.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to parts operations and inventory accuracy.
Commercial Parts Sales and Customer Support
  • Assist customers in identifying and purchasing truck parts and accessories.
  • Provide accurate information regarding product features, availability, pricing, and specifications.
  • Recommend appropriate and complementary products based on customer needs.
  • Process parts sales transactions, invoices, and customer orders.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve parts-related concerns.
  • Provide updates regarding order status, product availability, and delivery timelines.
  • Support efforts to grow commercial parts sales, including building relationships with local fleet and commercial customers.
  • Maintain product knowledge of truck parts, accessories, and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with technicians, sales personnel, and management to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One (1) year or more of experience in a parts, warehouse, automotive, truck equipment, or related environment preferred.
  • Customer service or commercial sales experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of truck, automotive, or equipment parts preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with inventory management and business systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Forklift operation experience or certification preferred, or ability to obtain certification within six (6) months of hire.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.

This position works primarily in a warehouse and shop setting with some outdoor exposure during the workday. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, and printers, as well as warehouse equipment including hand trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, box cutters, and tape dispensers.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Typical workdays are Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm. Scheduled hours may vary based on business needs and operational demands. Occasional overtime may be required.
