The Parts Specialist will provide all retail and installer customers with a high level of service. This position also supports store management in accomplishing assigned tasks.

Essential Job Functions

1. Follow and promote all company customer service programs, such as Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, and Rock the Lot.
2. Greet retail/walk-in customers promptly and assist them in selecting merchandise.
3. Assist managers and installer service specialists in serving professional customers as needed.
4. Complete relevant company training.
5. Provide excellent service to customers calling the store, including answering calls, looking up parts, quoting prices, and offering the Low-Price Guarantee.
6. Maintain and secure the cash drawer, handle transactions accurately, and process credit card payments.
7. Process exchanges and returns in accordance with company policies.
8. Address and resolve customer complaints amicably.
9. Assist with daily store operations like stocking shelves, planogram updates, freight receival, cleaning, etc.
10. Perform operational tasks such as merchandise returns, stock adjustments, and inventory counts.
11. Operate store equipment like brake lathes after training.
12. Perform in-store services for customers where legal, such as installing wipers, testing batteries, and scanning vehicle trouble codes.
13. Occasionally drive delivery vehicles when needed, subject to driving record approval.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills, Education, Knowledge, Experience, Abilities

1. Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
2. Outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service skills.
3. Ability to multitask effectively handling customers both in-store and on the phone.

Desired Qualifications

1. Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, Weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service.
2. ASE certification.
3. Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish.
