Primary Purpose

The primary purpose of the Shipping and Receiving Specialist is to verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment by performing the essential job requirements to quality and productivity standards.

Pay/Schedule

• Pay is $17/hour
• Late afternoon/evening availability. Typical shifts are 3pm-8pm Monday through Friday with flexible start and end times.

Responsibilities

• Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Assist with shipping and receiving, unload trucks, check in merchandise, and match purchase orders to sales orders.
• Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.
• Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for parts, tools, or other stock items and distribute them to shipping or designated areas.
• Assist in counting physical inventory, moving inventory, and organizing the shipping and receiving area.
• Perform other duties as assigned to ensure proper productivity of the Parts department.
• Willingness to work late nights during winter or busy months.

Qualifications

• Ability to collaborate, cooperate, interpret, and communicate information effectively.
• Efficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Knowledge and ability to make decisions.
• Understanding of proper packaging methods.
