Qualifications include a high school diploma, at least one year in a parts department, a valid CA driver’s license, and familiarity with vendor catalogs and department systems. Forklift experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience in a retail or wholesale parts department.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to interpret vendor catalogs and use department computer systems.
• Good communication skills and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Count, weigh or measure items on incoming and outgoing shipments and verify against invoices or orders.
• Determine shipment methods using knowledge of routes, procedures and rates.
• Keep bins, aisles and storage areas clean and labeled.
• Maintain receiving/shipping records and truck maintenance records.
• Unpack shipments, reject damaged items, and coordinate with shippers to rectify shortages.
• Ensure outgoing shipments meet specifications and maintain inventory of shipping materials.
• Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
