Job summary

Morrie's Minnetonka Subaru in Minnetonka, MN is hiring for a full-time shipping/receiving role in the parts department. You will count and verify items, determine shipment methods, and maintain orderly receiving and shipping records.

A valid driver’s license and one year of parts department experience are required. The role requires reading and interpreting manuals, using the parts dept computer system, and good communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience in a retail or wholesale parts department.
• Valid in-state driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Ability to interpret vendor catalogs and use parts department computer system.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Count, weigh or measure items on shipments and verify against invoices and orders.
• Determine shipment method using routing and rate knowledge.
• Keep bins and storage areas clean and labeled.
• Maintain receiving/shipping records and delivery truck maintenance records.
• Unpack shipments, reject damaged items, and coordinate with shippers.
• Ensure outgoing shipments meet specifications.
• Maintain inventory of shipping materials.
• Operate heavy machinery (forklift, pallet jack).
