Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company (MHC Kenworth) in Knoxville seeks a Parts and Service Specialist to coordinate service orders, assist customers with parts, and support warranty documentation.

You will balance sales and service tasks, file invoices, stock parts, and help the shop run smoothly while delivering friendly, professional service to customers. Experience in a fast-paced automotive setting and strong communication are valued; CDL preferred.

Qualifications

• CDL (preferred)
• Prefer experience dealing with the public in sales/service capacity
• Computer experience (preferred)
• Strong customer relations and communication skills
• Good leadership abilities
• Must have a positive can-do attitude

Responsibilities

• Coordinates customer repair orders with Service Manager and Shop Foremen for task assignment
• Ensures customers receive expedited service
• Fills parts requirements with customers and mechanics
• Prepares invoices for over-the-counter sales and requisitions for parts
• Stocks and locates parts in warehouse
• Inputs repair order information and closes orders
• Advises customers on needed service and potential additional work
• Maintains shop and office cleanliness
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
