Job summary

Roland Machinery Company is seeking a Parts & Service Manager in Slinger, WI. You will lead both the branch Parts and Service departments, overseeing personnel, inventory, workflow, budgeting, and customer satisfaction to ensure operational excellence.

The role requires a technical degree or equivalent experience, strong leadership and financial acumen, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement. A valid driver's license and ongoing customer-focused service are essential.

Qualifications

  • Technical degree in diesel technology, heavy equipment, or a related field preferred; equivalent industry experience considered.
  • Leadership or management experience in heavy equipment industry preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand equipment diagnostics and hydraulic systems; reading hydraulic schematics is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets, inventory, profitability, and operational performance.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent customer service, relationship-building, and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computerized business systems.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for Parts and Service personnel.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships by ensuring exceptional service and responsive support.
  • Promote Parts and Service offerings and partner with Sales to identify new business opportunities.
  • Drive revenue growth by identifying service opportunities and expanding customer engagement.
  • Oversee shop and field technician workflow, scheduling, work order management, inventory control, purchasing, and customer communications.
  • Manage departmental financial performance including budgeting, inventory investment, gross margin, operating expenses, and profitability.
  • Ensure timely processing of warranty claims per manufacturer requirements.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives with SOPs, best practices, and company policies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with equipment manufacturers and vendor representatives.
  • Manage capital expenditures and projects within approved budgets.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work environment per company policies.

Position Summary

The Parts & Service Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and operational performance of the branch Parts and Service departments. This position provides strategic direction and day-to-day management of personnel, financial performance, customer satisfaction, inventory, workflow, and operational excellence.
