Job summary

Triple J Enterprises is seeking a dedicated Parts Runner/Shop Assistant to ensure parts are picked up and delivered safely and promptly to the maintenance and repair shop.

You will support technicians by providing required parts and keeping accurate inventory, while maintaining customer goodwill through attentive service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of progressive experience in a parts center.
• High School Diploma or GED; on‑the‑job training may be required.
• Strong communication and time‑management skills.

Summary/Objective:The Parts Runner/ Shop Assistant’s primary function is to pick up and deliver parts safely and promptly to the maintenance and repair shop. They will be responsible for making sure that technicians have parts ready before starting the maintenance or repair. They will accomplish objectives using inventory control, security and time management.Essential Functions:Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Maintain customer goodwill by greeting and acknowledging all customers they come in contact with.Pick up parts from various vendors.Assist the shop technician and provide required parts.Deliver parts to various body shops.Help organize and keep accountability of parts.Inventory of maintenance items daily.Moving and storing stock.SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:Ability to speak effectively one on one.Ability to listen effectively.Ability to understand written sentenced and paragraphs in work related documents.Ability to communicate and interpret effectively.Ability to manage time effectively.WORK ENVIRONMENT:Work is regularly performed in a combination of office and shop environments and is regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes, noise, heat, and outdoor elements.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift/carry at least 50 lbs and up to 100 lbs as needed with or without assistance. Able to work while wearing safety shoes, safety glasses and hard hat when necessary.POSITION TYPE:This is a full-time, non-exempt position.Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Saturday from 7am to 6pm.
