Job summary

Abilene Machine LLC is seeking a parts clerk to support the used parts operation. The role includes receiving requests from Sales, procuring parts from inventory, and maintaining accurate cataloging in our software system.

Candidate should have 2–4 years of mechanical experience, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift and organize heavy parts in a warehouse setting. Forklift certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years mechanical experience preferred.
• Computer skills sufficient to access inventory.
• Ability to pass pre-employment physical.

JOB PURPOSEThis position is responsible for receiving requests for used parts from Sales staff and procurement of those parts for the customer when available. This position will also work on inventory of used parts.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSEssential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Procures used parts from inventory for delivery to customer.Troubleshoot used parts problems; make recommendations on switch out of parts and recommend substitutionsCatalog and enter used parts inventory in softwareIdentifies and locates used parts by make and model.Organization of parts and used parts warehouseFollows all safety rules and regulations; keeps work environment clean and free of hazards.QUALIFICATIONS AND CAPABILITIESTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
