Job summary

Total Warehouse in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Parts Runner to support service operations by timely pickup, delivery, and transportation of parts, materials, and company vehicles. The role also assists with inventory control, warehouse upkeep, and general operational tasks to ensure technicians receive needed materials.

You will work closely with Parts, Inventory Control, and Service Departments while maintaining safety, accuracy, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Description

The Parts Runner is responsible for the timely pickup, delivery, and transportation of parts, materials, equipment, and company vehicles to support service operations. This role works closely with the Parts, Inventory Control, and Service Departments to ensure technicians receive the materials needed to complete jobs efficiently. In addition to delivery responsibilities, the Parts Runner assists with inventory organization, stock replenishment, warehouse upkeep, and general operational support.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Pick up parts, materials, and supplies from vendors and suppliers as needed.


• Deliver parts and materials to field technicians at customer job sites and company locations.


• Transport company vehicles and equipment to repair facilities, vendors, and designated locations.


• Pick up and deliver parts to customer accounts, branch locations, and other designated destinations.


• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance concerns.


• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory by stocking, organizing, and relocating materials within the warehouse.


• Pull and stage parts and materials for service technicians and scheduled jobs.


• Put away incoming inventory and update bin locations as directed.


• Perform bin spot checks and inventory audits to help maintain inventory accuracy.


• Assist with reorganizing stockroom areas to maximize storage capacity and efficiency.


• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe parts department, warehouse, and shop area.


• Dispose of cardboard, packaging materials, and general waste as needed.


• Assist with general warehouse, inventory, and operational tasks as assigned.


• Follow all company safety policies and procedures while operating vehicles and equipment.


• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to safely operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment.


• Strong time-management and route-planning skills.


• Ability to accurately identify, transfer, and organize parts and materials.


• Dependable with a strong customer-service mindset when interacting with vendors, customers, and technicians.


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.

Requirements

Physical Requirements

• Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.


• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for extended periods.


• Ability to enter and exit vehicles frequently throughout the workday.


• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.


• Ability to work in an environment with moderate noise and ongoing activity.


• Must possess sufficient physical mobility and motor skills to safely perform essential job duties.

Required Qualifications
