Job summary

EQASERVICE LLC on the West Coast seeks a Technical Assistant to support service technicians by assisting with removing and replacing parts in small home appliances, based on technician diagnoses. You will work closely with the team on the shop floor in Paramount, California, following SOPs and documenting steps in our service software.

Over time you can develop diagnosis and repair skills toward a technician role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior technical work experience preferred, even personal projects.
• Ability to lift appliances up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work at a technician's workstation full day.
• Capable of learning SOP-based diagnosis and data capture.
• Proficient with computer software and data capture tools.

Responsibilities

• Remove and install components into appliances while documenting work in inventory and service computer systems.
• Follow technical repair procedures under guidance of technician.
• Maintain order on your workstation and other areas.
• May be asked to work overtime when business requires.
• Learn repetitive tasks quickly to not require supervision.
