Allstate Peterbilt Group, serving the Midwest truck industry, is seeking a Purchasing Clerk to prepare purchase orders, edit requests, obtain prices, and monitor stock levels to keep branches supplied.

The role requires 3+ years in purchasing, associate degree preferred, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with MS Dynamics. Excellent communication and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a purchasing or purchasing support capacity.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepares purchase orders by compiling information and records from multiple sources.
• Edit purchase requests, and follow-up on outstanding purchase orders.
• Consults catalogs and other references to obtain prices and specifications.
• May contact vendors and suppliers for quotations.
• Placing emergency orders based on request from branches.
• Analyzing inventory levels and usage to determine stocking quantities.
