Job summary

Glory is seeking a Parts & Planning Material Manager in Carrollton, TX, to lead a team responsible for supplier relations and supply chain execution for North America Service. You will drive end-to-end material planning, improve fulfillment, and ensure SLA compliance across the organization.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in logistics or related field and 5–7 years of supervisory experience in supply chain, with strong analytical, negotiation, and ERP skills (Oracle JDE 9.2).

ROLE PURPOSE

The Parts Planning Manager will lead a team to develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, leadership, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment between business strategy and sourcing execution. They will direct all facets of supply chain management including the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the supply chain for North America Service in a cost-effective manner while meeting the SLA requirements of customers. The Parts Material Planning Manager will provide operational support and guidance to ensure maximum productivity. The Manager needs to perform well under pressure and understand the fluctuating needs for various replacement parts to excel in the role.

Key Responsibilities

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

The Parts Material Planning Manager completes various management, organization, and planning tasks to maintain high performance of the Parts Material Planning Department processes. They are responsible for keeping the business well-stocked and customers happy. A critical element of this role is to ensure all part orders and requirements are fulfilled in a timely manner. They are responsible for implementing industry best practices in order fulfillment and optimizing business processes. The individual is expected to deal directly with internal and external Senior Leadership teams in all areas and must process exceptional organization, communication skills, and problem-solving skill. Their duties and responsibilities include:

• Develops, implements and/or influences best practices in consumable/spares fulfillment.
• Create order fulfillment strategies that increase efficiency and speed.
• Reviews, develops, Identifies and/or recommends the implementation of corporate and/or organizational initiatives to meet desired business goals and/or objectives.
• Collaborates with the Parts Planning and Demand Manager forecasting part trends.
• Escalation of shortages or unplanned demand.
• Collaborating with service managers and other departments to close operational gaps.
• Perform market research of key parts categories set up overall parts pricing strategy that maintains profitability.
• Collaborates with the Parts Planning and Demand Manager in evaluating the Central Parts Distribution Center to Field Tech and Forward Stocking Location strategy.
• Work closely with Global Service Parts Program Director to be current on global initiatives, policies, and compliance.
• Monitors spending for adherence to budget, recommends variances as necessary.
• The Manager carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. This role supervises various roles in Service Planning and Forecasting.
• Some travel required.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

Education Level:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in logistics, business administration, or supply chain management preferred and three years supervisory experience in supply Chain; or five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
