Job summary

Metalcraft of Mayville is seeking a Parts Picker for the Johnson City, TN facility. The role involves assisting with customer service orders, pulling service parts, packing for UPS or FedEx, and shipping to customers. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm, with overtime as needed.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, forklift certification, and good communication skills. Prior experience in a lean manufacturing environment is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
• 1+ year of work experience in a similar role, preferred.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Must be forklift certified.
• Flexible during the work week as hours will often change due to workload.
• Ability to work harmoniously with a diverse range of people.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Exposure to a fast-paced lean manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Demonstrated attention to detail, self-motivation, and ability to multi-task.
• Ability to work in a team and coordinate with other departments.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience in a highly technical environment is a plus.
• Strong basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in customer service orders for shipping.
• Pull service parts and package items for shipment.
• Record and track requests and shipments as needed.
• Maintains accurate shipping information and moves orders to shipping area.
• Prepare Bills of Lading for LTL shipments.
• Count and verify parts received from suppliers.
• Update inventory locations in the computer system.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow OSHA and safety regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
