Job summary

Metalcraft of Mayville is seeking a Material Handler for the Johnson City, TN plant. The role reports to the Warehouse Manager and records outbound shipments while maintaining stock across all stations. Hours are Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm, with overtime as needed.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or equivalent, 2 years forklift experience (preferably in metal fabrication), and the ability to work in a fast-paced Lean environment. Strong teamwork and communication are important.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 2 years forklift experience ideally in a metal fabrication shop
• Experience in a fast-paced environment
• Lean Manufacturing experience

Responsibilities

• Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site following instructions
• Loads/unloads materials onto/from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand
• Conveys materials to storage or work sites using forklift or other device
• Occasionally operates industrial truck or hoist to assist loading or moving
• Fill out a daily forklift inspection
• Assist with housekeeping related to the plants 6S plan
• Ensure compliance with safety standards
• Perform other duties as assigned
