Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years of experience in an automotive parts department.
• At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience in a dealership or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of automotive parts, inventory management, and OEM systems.
• Proficiency with dealer management systems (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds) and parts catalog software.
• ASE Parts Specialist Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct all operations of the parts department, ensuring productivity and profitability.
• Maintain inventory levels and minimize excess stock and obsolescence.
• Develop pricing strategies and monitor gross profit targets.
• Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate parts department staff; assign daily responsibilities.
• Collaborate with service and body shop to ensure timely parts availability for repairs.
• Prepare and maintain records of inventory, losses, returns, and departmental metrics.
• Schedule and conduct regular department meetings to communicate goals and updates.
