Job summary

Ranchland Ford in Kentucky is seeking a Parts Manager to oversee inventory control, customer service and retail parts sales at the dealership. You will order parts, sell parts and manage stock while supporting the Service Department.

Qualifications

• Previous dealership experience is a plus.
• Experience with auto parts sales is a plus.
• Ability to identify and act on issues quickly.
• Knowledge of automobiles.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Strong reading, computer, and mathematics skills.
• Ability to learn new technology and repair/service procedures.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Detail-oriented with a professional appearance and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish.
• Manage inventory, maintain and provide parts for Service Technicians.
• Complete special order part requests for over-the-counter customers.
• Communicate with customers and technicians on parts status.
• Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Monitor parts department profitability and other statistics.
• Assist the Service Department as needed.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations applicable to the industry.
