Job summary

Ascendance Truck Centers is seeking a full-time, experienced Parts Manager to optimize department profitability through effective purchasing, inventory control, staffing, pricing, merchandising, and advertising. The role includes maintaining high service levels for internal and external customers and coordinating with service and body shop teams to ensure timely parts turnarounds.

Qualifications

• Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume; apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Responsibilities

• Forecasts goals and objectives for the department and strives to meet them.
• Maintains a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the service department, body shop, wholesale accounts, and the do-it-yourself public.
• Establishes individual parts inventory levels and balances them for maximum turnover.
• Monitors and adjusts inventory to minimize obsolescence.
• Ensures that all parts are properly tagged so that the dealership recovers full credit from the factory.
• Supervises stock order procedures.
