Sunbelt Fire is seeking a highly motivated Parts Manager to join our team to help develop, execute, manage, and grow the inventory and supply chain of parts necessary for the maintenance and repair of fire apparatus and equipment.

As Sunbelt Fire's Parts Manager, you excel in efficiency, providing exceptional customer service, and establishing efficient systems and processes.

Requirements

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Lead, manage, hold accountable, coach and develop all direct reports and department staff.
  • Forecast parts needs and order parts to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Conduct regular physical inventories and audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Manage obsolete inventory levels.
  • Source and purchase parts from approved suppliers.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Assist technicians and customers in identifying and sourcing parts.
  • Provide support to the service department by ensuring all parts are available for repairs jobs.
  • Maintain accurate records of parts transactions and inventory levels.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, additional education in logistics, supply chain management, inventory management, or purchasing is a plus.
  • Prior experience in parts management, preferably in the fire industry or commercial trucks.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft office suite.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of fire apparatus and parts is highly desirable.

POSITION TYPE: Full-time, Monday-Friday.

LOCATION: Fairhope or Birmingham, AL.

TRAVEL: The Parts Manager is required to visit each location at least once per quarter to ensure effective oversight and support. More frequent visits are encouraged to foster strong relationships and maintain optimal operational efficiency.
