Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Parts Clerk to kit parts for mechanics and support customer orders in a busy shop and warehouse. You will manage inventory using computer systems, assist customers, and collaborate with coworkers to fulfill orders.

The role emphasizes accurate inventory control, cycle counts, shipping/receiving, and safe material handling in a day-shift environment. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with strong growth potential.

Qualifications

• Experience with inventory management, cycle counts, and order processing.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform material handling safely.
• Comfort working in a shop environment both indoors and outdoors.
• Experience in shipping/receiving within a warehouse or shop setting.
• Experience using computer systems to track inventory and process orders.

Responsibilities

• Kit and prepare parts for mechanics to support customer orders and vehicle installs.
• Provide customer service by discussing orders, parts needs, and options in person or by phone.
• Collaborate with internal coworkers to process sales orders, verify order details, and ensure accurate fulfillment.
• Perform warehouse inventory management, including stocking shelves and organizing parts.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and audits to verify inventory accuracy.
• Use computer systems to track inventory, process orders, and update parts records in real time.
• Order parts and materials to maintain stock levels and meet demand.
• Support retail sales activities and discuss product options with walk-in customers.
• Handle shipping and receiving tasks, including checking in shipments and preparing outgoing orders.
• Perform material handling tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
