Job summary

The West Virginia Department of Transportation seeks a detail-oriented District/Division Supply Specialist to manage parts, procurement and warehouse operations for the equipment shop fleet. You will source replacement parts for mowers, loaders and other vehicles, oversee inventory and data entry using the WVOASIS system, and coordinate with mechanics and vendors to ensure timely delivery.

High school diploma or the equivalent.
Five (5) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in storeroom or warehouse operations, such as a stock clerk or inventory work.
Substitution: coursework from a regionally accredited college or university may substitute for four years of experience.

Responsibilities

Identify, source and purchase replacement parts for equipment such as mowers, loaders, vehicles and heavy machinery.
Manage district warehouse stock, conduct inventory audits and input data for orders and requisitions in WVOASIS.
Safely operate a forklift to unload freight and load service vehicles; inspect shipments and resolve discrepancies.
Maintain professional communication with mechanics, shop managers, state personnel and external suppliers for timely delivery.
