Job summary

The West Virginia Department of Transportation is seeking a detail-oriented District/Division Supply Specialist to manage parts, procurement, and warehouse operations for our equipment shop fleet in Parkersburg, WV. This role supports mowers, loaders, dump trucks, and plows and reports to the District Equipment Shop.

• Five years of full-time or equivalent experience in storeroom or warehouse operations.
• Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, timekeeping, and purchasing.

Responsibilities

• Identify, source and purchase replacement parts for equipment and vehicles.
• Manage District warehouse stock and conduct inventory audits.
• Input data, process orders and track requisitions using WVOASIS.
• Safely operate a forklift to unload freight and move components.
• Inspect incoming shipments and match packing slips with purchase orders.
• Maintain clear communication with mechanics, shop managers, state personnel and suppliers.
• Perform related work as required.
