Job summary

Global Compression Services LLC in Lafayette, LA is seeking a Parts Representative to manage stock parts and repair orders with accuracy and cost awareness.

You will log repairs, locate and pull parts for stock orders and shop jobs, process shipping and receiving, assist customers by phone, email or in person, and keep the warehouse clean, organized, and efficient, including weekend and on-call coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1 year parts, warehouse or inventory experience.
• Dependable, self-directed, and a team player.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Inventory control background preferred.
• Computer experience with on-line material systems.
• Have general mechanical knowledge.
• Current Driver's License and good driving record.
• Must be able to work overtime and on-call hours.
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Log repairs in service logs and billing entries.
• Locate and pull parts for stock orders and shop jobs.
• Administer shop repair jobs and parts requirements.
• Price and close shop repair jobs.
• Assist customers with part orders by phone, email and in person.
• Handle shipping and receiving.
• Daily warehouse cleaning and housekeeping duties.
• Weekend and after-hours parts call out.
• Maintain warranty and factory repairs with vendors.
• Additional duties assigned by manager.
