Alaska Marine Lines seeks a detail-oriented Parts and Inventory Coordinator to manage inventory levels and movement, and to handle ordering and receiving of parts. This is a safety-sensitive role requiring attention to detail and adherence to procedures.

Responsibilities include performing regular inventory counts, processing requisitions and purchase orders, coordinating inbound/outbound shipments, and liaising with vendors. Forklift operation and on-site/off-site logistics are part of the job.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of related procurement, supply chain coordination and warehousing experience preferred.
• Ability to meet regular work schedule and work with mechanics, managers, internal teams, and vendors.

Responsabilidades

• Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile system data; maintain accurate records.
• Review inventory data to identify slow-moving, surplus, or obsolete items and adjust purchasing as instructed.
• Initiate, process, and track requisitions and purchase orders; expedite deliveries to ensure availability of parts.
• Review and reconcile purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices; verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, transfers, and deliveries.
• Organize, store, and distribute parts, tools, and supplies for quick access and minimal downtime.
• Operate forklifts and vehicles on-site and off-site to move materials safely.
• Monitor vendor gate communications, escort delivery drivers as needed, and unload deliveries.
