Job summary

Knapheide Truck Equipment Center in Acworth, GA is seeking a full-time Materials Coordinator to supply parts to the production area and ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time. The role runs Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with overtime as needed.

You will manage purchases, communicate with vendors, maintain forecasted arrival dates, monitor inventory levels, perform cycle counts, and work with the team to solve lead-time issues while learning a new MRP system.

Qualifications

• Exposure to vehicle repairs and/or parts sales a plus.
• MRP or equivalent business system experience.
• Purchasing parts and service for ongoing manufacturing operations.
• Time management and execution of detailed tasks.
• Mechanical/technical aptitude.
• Forklift operation.
• This position will require working on a computer much of the time and the ability to learn a new MRP system.

Responsibilities

• Purchase required equipment and supplies.
• Communicate with vendors and maintain forecasted equipment arrival dates.
• Find solutions to equipment lead time issues.
• Manage inventory stock levels.
• Maintain on-site inventory organization.
• Conduct regular cycle counts.
• Complete 100% physical inventory annually.
• Load, unload and store equipment from transport trucks.
• Effectively communicate with other team members to discuss special items, obstacles, lead times, etc..
