Job summary

Prince Industries in Illinois is seeking a Parts Finisher to perform repetitive bench or line assembly operations and to operate the ultrasonic wash machine to clean components.

You will deburr parts, load and unload from washers, measure with soap, inspect parts, and assist with assembly and packaging, in a clean, safety-focused environment.

A high school diploma is preferred; applicants should read, write, and speak English fluently and be willing to work overtime to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Previous general labor experience in a machine shop environment preferred.
• High School diploma or GED Equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Deburr parts with various tools.
• Load and unload materials from washer to designated area.
• Immerse objects in washing/rinsing solutions to remove debris.
• Wash parts in ultrasonic machine or solvent; dry and inspect parts.
• Measure and pour soap or chemicals; set wash cycle controls.
• Inspect parts, some under a microscope; ensure quality.
• Responsible for Heli-Coil installation; complete parts assembly and packaging.
• Complete paperwork; operate pallet jack and related moving equipment.

Job Summary

The Parts Finisher performs repetitive bench or line assembly operations to produce various types of specified products in addition to completing routine tasks of hand washing or operating the ultra-sonic wash machine to clean manufactured components.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Deburs parts with tools such as deburring wheels, reamers, drills, sandpaper, scotchbrite, small files, or small pneumatic tools
• Loads and unloads materials or parts from washer to specified area
• Immerses objects in washing and rinsing solutions to remove debris
• Washes parts in an ultrasonic machine or solvent, dries parts, examines parts, removes debris
• Measures and pours soap or chemical into wash water, set controls to regulate cycle of wash and water temperature
• Inspects parts, some under a microscope
• Responsible for Heli-Coil installation
• Completes parts assembly (non-electronic parts) and packaging
• Completes paperwork
• Operates a pallet jack / other moving equipment

Education and Experience

Physical Job Requirements

• Regularly required to stand and reach the duration of shift, 8-10 hours
• Occasionally required to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend
• Frequently required to perform repetitive or short-cycles work
• Regularly lift, push, or pull up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
• Understands and observes all necessary safety procedures: safety glasses, shoes, ear protection, machine interlocks, lifting guidelines, etc. as designated in specific work area assigned
• Must be able to communicate clearly and accurately in noisy environments.
• Must also have close, distance, and peripheral vision, with the ability to adjust focus and judge depth. Color vision is required as well.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

Compensation:

$18-20 per hour
