Job summary

Prince Industries LLC in Carol Stream, IL, is seeking a Parts Finisher to perform repetitive bench or line assembly operations and complete routine washing tasks to prepare components for assembly.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to read and follow instructions, and willingness to work overtime. Shift is 4:30 PM–1:00 AM, Monday through Friday, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off.

Qualifications

  • Previous general labor experience in a machine shop environment preferred.
  • High School diploma or GED Equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

  • Debur parts with tools such as deburring wheels, reamers, drills, sandpaper, scotchbrite, small files, or small pneumatic tools.
  • Load and unload materials or parts from washer to specified area.
  • Immerse objects in washing and rinsing solutions to remove debris.
  • Wash parts in an ultrasonic machine or solvent, dry parts, examine parts, remove debris.
  • Measure and pour soap or chemical into wash water, set controls to regulate cycle of wash and water temperature.
  • Inspect parts, some under a microscope.
  • Responsible for Heli-Coil installation.
  • Complete parts assembly (non-electronic parts) and packaging.
  • Complete paperwork.
  • Operate a pallet jack / other moving equipment.

JOB SUMMARY

The Parts Finisher performs repetitive bench or line assembly operations to produce various types of specified products in addition to completing routine tasks of hand washing or operating the ultra-sonic wash machine to clean manufactured components.

Shift Hours:

4:30 PM to 1:00 AM, Monday - Friday

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Deburs parts with tools such as deburring wheels, reamers, drills, sandpaper, scotchbrite, small files, or small pneumatic tools.

Education and Experience
  • Previous general labor experience in a machine shop environment preferred.

Physical Job Requirements
  • Regularly required to stand and reach the duration of shift, 8-10 hours.
  • Occasionally required to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend.
  • Frequently required to perform repetitive or short-cycles work.
  • Regularly lift, push, or pull up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Understands and observes all necessary safety procedures: safety glasses, shoes, ear protection, machine interlocks, lifting guidelines, etc. as designated in specific work area assigned.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and accurately in noisy environments.
  • Must also have close, distance, and peripheral vision, with the ability to adjust focus and judge depth. Color vision is required as well.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

Compensation:

$18-20 per hour
