Job summary

W.W. Williams is seeking a Parts Expeditor to provide critical parts support to technicians in the shop, ensuring work scheduled is completed promptly and to the customer's satisfaction.

Responsibilities include preparing parts lists, reducing downtime due to parts issues, and accurately tracking parts usage and deliveries. The role requires knowledge of heavy-duty truck parts, basic maintenance understanding, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of heavy-duty trucks and trailer parts.
• Basic knowledge of heavy-duty truck/trailer maintenance and terminology.
• Microsoft Office Suite computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists in developing parts lists for repairs using product knowledge, computer software, and supplier catalogs.
• Minimizes downtime related to parts availability and procurement issues.
• Enters parts used on jobs into the system for inventory tracking and customer invoicing.
• Recovers freight costs by following the current freight policy.
• Estimates delivery dates to the shop based on inventory and delivery schedules.
