Job Description

Summary:
The Parts Driver is responsible for picking up and delivering parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Checks with the parts manager, wholesale representative, inventory control administrator, parts counter people, or shipping and receiving clerk before leaving to coordinate any last minute pick-ups or deliveries.
2. Checks with the body shop each day to determine immediate parts needs.
3. Delivers parts to body shop when needed and distributes to appropriate body technicians.
4. Verifies that invoice matches purchase order for each pick-up.
5. Checks payments received with the invoices for each delivery.
6. Keeps an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups. Requests recipient's signature on each delivery entry.
7. Unloads truck each night. Turns in all paperwork and undelivered parts.
8. Handles basic maintenance of the truck including filling tank with gas, checking oil, keeping it clean, and making sure required inspections are performed.
9. Advises parts manager if delivery trucks need major repairs and maintenance.
10. Helps with stocking and posting orders when they arrive to expedite delivery to shop technicians and wholesale accounts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Physically able to drive vehicles and transport, move, stock parts
• Must be authorized to work in the USA
• Must be willing to undergo pre-employment compliance requirements: Drug testing, background check, MVR.

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience in a similar role or automotive industry is preferred
• Basic knowledge of vehicles is a plus

Compensation (Hourly):

• $21.00 / hour

*The Parts Driver Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of $21.00 / hour*

• FULL TIME
• 5 days a week / 2 days off
• Weekend availability required
