The position emphasizes strong communication, safe driving, and ability to adapt to varying delivery situations. Occasional cashiering or merchandising duties may be required as business dictates.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record must meet the standard set in the company's 14/18-point record system.
• Must possess a legally required state driver's license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use delivery fleet management handheld devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily inspections.
• Keep vehicles clean and maintained; complete daily inspections prior to operation.
• Secure vehicles, keys, fuel cards, handheld devices, and monies collected at all times.
• Pick up customer returns and fill out driver return slips; communicate issues to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs or incidents to the store manager.
• Ensure fuel tank is filled and vehicle is secured at day end.
• Clock in/out per company policy.
• Assist customers as needed, including cashiering and merchandising tasks.
