Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a delivery driver to transport parts to customers across the local area. You will operate company vehicles, process deliveries with handheld devices, collect signatures, and perform daily vehicle inspections.

You will also secure vehicles and funds, handle returns, communicate customer needs to store management, and assist with merchandising as required. Driving records and a valid state license are required, with bilingual skills a plus.

• Familiarity with automotive parts (desired).

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use delivery fleet management handheld devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections.
• Keep delivery vehicles clean, maintain and perform daily inspections prior to operating.
• Secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, handheld devices, and monies collected at all times.
• Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores, etc.) and complete the driver return slip.
• Communicate any problems or special customer needs to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to the store manager immediately.
• Ensure the fuel tank is filled and lock and secure the vehicle at the end of each day.
• Clock in/out according to company policy.
• Perform other duties such as customer service, stocking and merchandising tasks.
• Occasionally assist customers, serve as cashier, and help with merchandising when needed.
