Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Delivery Specialist to operate store vehicles and deliver parts to professional customers. The role includes collecting COD payments, picking up customer returns, and performing daily vehicle inspections to ensure safety and reliability.

You will use fleet management handheld devices, keep all assets secure, and communicate issues to store management. There are opportunities to assist customers at times and support merchandising tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record must meet the company's 14/18-point record system.
• Must possess a legally required state driver's license and meet company driving eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Operate fleet hand-held devices to process deliveries, capture signatures, and update mileage.
• Keep vehicles clean and maintained; complete daily vehicle inspections.
• Secure vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet cards, devices, and money at all times.
• Pick up customer returns and complete driver return slips.
• Report problems or special needs to store management; coordinate with team.
• Ensure fuel tank is filled and vehicle is locked at end of day; clock in/out per policy.
• Assist customers as needed, and perform cashier/ merchandising tasks when business dictates.
