Job summary

Fyda Freightliner Group located in Columbus, Ohio is looking for a dedicated external customer representative for the parts department. You will be responsible for acting as the customer advocate and managing parts delivery and orders, while also prospecting new sales opportunities in the designated territory.

The ideal candidate should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, have excellent communication skills, and a basic knowledge of truck components. Company offers excellent pay based on experience, paid time off, 401K with matching, and more benefits.

Fyda Freightliner Columbus is the largest retailer of new and used Expediters in the United States. Serving the Columbus transportation industry hub since 1985, we operate as a full-service commercial truck dealership and body shop.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Acts as an external representative of Fyda Freightliner through the parts department with customers.
• Focus on being the customer advocate through:
  • Parts Delivery
  • Parts ordering
  • Offering parts alternatives
  • Handling warranty, return and core parts
  • Relaying service related issues
  • Sharing new or used truck interest
• Prospect new sales opportunities within designate territory
• Attend training seminars
• Perform customer sales calls with vendors
• Support inside sales
  • With parts pulling
  • Sharing customer information
• Work closely with Outside Parts Sales (OPS)

Qualifications

• Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent required with basic knowledge of truck/auto components.
  • Excellent communication skills and must speak English.
  • Knowledge of and ability to work on a computer.
• Must maintain an MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) that meets the Company’s eligibility.
• Must be able to pass a background check and a pre-employment drug screening. (Fyda Freightliner follows the National DOT guidelines and tests for marijuana.)

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to walk, stand, kneel, crouch, reach and lift.
• Must be able to carry 10 to 50 pounds 70% of the work time; 51 to 90 pounds 20% of the work time; and 100 plus pounds 10% of the work time.
• Operate a Fyda vehicle in safe and responsible manner and in compliance with Fyda policies.
