Serra Traverse City is seeking an Automotive Parts Driver to deliver and pick up parts and equipment for the dealership. You will coordinate with the parts team, maintain inventory, and ensure professional presentation of the parts department.

Requirements include a valid driver's license and automotive parts experience; training is provided. This role involves physical work and customer-facing responsibilities with potential for growth within Serra Automotive.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Valid Driver's License.
• Automotive parts experience preferred.
• Additional training and coaching provided by Serra employees.
• Computer skills are a plus.
• Ability to maintain and organize parts inventory; neat and orderly work.

Responsibilities

• Picks up and delivers parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts and vendors.
• Coordinate last-minute pickups or deliveries with parts manager or shipping/receiving staff.
• Perform basic maintenance on the delivery truck (fuel, oil, cleanliness; inspections).
• Report major repairs or maintenance needs to parts manager.
• Maintain professional appearance of the parts department.
• Ensure parts areas are properly stocked.

Essential Duties

• Picks up and delivers parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors.
• Checks with the parts manager, wholesale representative, parts counter people or shipping and receiving clerk before leaving to coordinate any last-minute pick-ups or deliveries.
• Handles basic maintenance of the truck including filling tank with gas, checking oil, keeping it clean and making sure required inspections are performed.
• Advise parts manager if delivery trucks need major repairs and maintenance.
• Helps maintain the professional appearance of the parts department.
• Ensures that areas of the parts department are properly stocked.
• Maintains professional appearance.
• Other tasks as assigned.
