Job summary

Ascendance Truck Centers is seeking a Parts Delivery Driver to deliver parts to customers and pick up parts from suppliers for the dealership. The role involves coordinating with the parts team, verifying delivery payments, and maintaining accurate delivery logs.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and the ability to read safety rules and operation manuals. You will help keep the parts department organized and support stock orders as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; communicate effectively with customers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Picks up and delivers parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors.
• Coordinates with parts manager or shipping/receiving clerk before deliveries.
• Verify payments received against invoices for each delivery.
• Maintain an accurate log of daily deliveries and pickups; obtain recipient signatures.
• Load vehicle with appropriate parts for deliveries.
• Perform basic truck maintenance (fuel, oil, cleanliness, inspections).
• Inform parts manager if trucks need major repairs or maintenance.
• Maintain professional appearance of the parts department and staff.
• Assist with stock orders to expedite deliveries.

Overview

Ascendance is looking for a Parts Delivery Driver. The Parts Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering parts to customers and for picking up parts from suppliers for the dealership.

Responsibilities

• Picks up and delivers parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors.
• Checks with the parts manager, or shipping and receiving clerk before leaving to coordinate any last minute pick‑ups or deliveries.
• Verify payments received against the invoices for each delivery.
• Keeps an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick‑ups. Requests recipient's signature on each delivery entry.
• Load vehicle with appropriate parts for deliveries.
• Handles basic maintenance of the truck including filling tank with gas, checking oil, keeping it clean, and making sure required inspections are performed.
• Advises parts manager if delivery trucks need major repairs and maintenance.
• Helps maintain the professional appearance of the parts department.
• Maintains professional appearance.
• Helps with stock orders when they arrive to expedite delivery.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
