Job summary

Ascendance Truck Centers in Wisconsin is seeking a Parts Delivery Driver to join our growing team. You will deliver parts to customers and pickups from suppliers, ensuring timely and accurate service.

You will coordinate with the parts manager, maintain logs, verify payments, and assist with stock when arrivals occur, all while upholding professional appearance.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; or 1 year related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions; write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups.
  • Ability to perform basic math operations and interpret graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and handle problems with several variables.

Responsibilities

  • Picks up and delivers parts to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors.
  • Checks with the parts manager before leaving to coordinate pickups/deliveries.
  • Verify payments received against invoices for each delivery.
  • Keeps an accurate log of daily deliveries and pickups; obtain recipient signatures.
  • Load vehicle with appropriate parts for deliveries.
  • Handle basic maintenance of the truck including fueling, oil checks, cleanliness, and required inspections.
  • Advise parts manager if trucks need major repairs/maintenance.
  • Maintain professional appearance of the parts department.
  • Help with stock orders to expedite delivery.

Overview

Ascendance is looking for a Parts Delivery Driver. The Parts Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering parts to customers and for picking up parts from suppliers for the dealership.

Responsibilities
  • Picks up and delivers parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors.
  • Checks with the parts manager, or shipping and receiving clerk before leaving to coordinate any last minute pick-ups or deliveries.
  • Verify payments received against the invoices for each delivery.
  • Keeps an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups. Requests recipient's signature on each delivery entry.
  • Load vehicle with appropriate parts for deliveries.
  • Handles basic maintenance of the truck including filling tank with gas, checking oil, keeping it clean, and making sure required inspections are performed.
  • Advises parts manager if delivery trucks need major repairs and maintenance.
  • Helps maintain the professional appearance of the parts department.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
