Parts Counterperson - Fowler Ford Tulsa

We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-oriented individual to join our team as an Automotive Parts Counterperson. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting customers in identifying, locating, and purchasing automotive parts and accessories. The ideal candidate will have a passion for automobiles, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Greet all customers (retail and shop) warmly and assist in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner. Provide high-level service to internal and external customers.
  • Answer customer inquiries in person, over the phone, and via email, providing accurate and timely information.
  • Review service repair order estimates to ensure correct parts are ordered and pricing aligns with the estimate.
  • Utilize electronic parts catalog systems and other resources to accurately identify automotive parts.
  • Review wholesale customer requests to ensure correct ordering and pricing, and provide delivery dates.
  • Collaborate with team members, including sales associates, technicians, and management for a seamless customer experience.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments for special orders, returns, and exchanges.
  • Demonstrate behaviors aligned with the company's vision, mission, and values in all interactions.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Prior experience in automotive parts sales or related field preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive parts, components, brands, and compatibility.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in computerized inventory management systems and electronic parts catalogs.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn and stay updated on automotive technologies and products.
Requirements:

Valid Driver's License and acceptable MVR as per insurance requirements.

Physical Demands:

Regularly standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds. Comfortable working in a warehouse environment and operating equipment like hand trucks and forklifts.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business and technical documents. Effective written and verbal communication skills for presenting information and responding to inquiries.
